Supporting those less abled in our society is a topic that is close to our heart at The Packaging Club, and we're happy to announce that we've made progress on making our services more inclusive to those of us that need a little helping hand.
We've recently updated our website with new accessibility features that make it easier to use for individuals with disabilities. This includes a user-friendly accessibility menu now located in the top right-hand corner of the screen, offering options such as contrast settings, text size adjustments, and dyslexia-friendly fonts from the amazing https://opendyslexic.org/.
In addition, our website benefits from Shopify’s built-in accessibility tools as part of their Polaris design system. These include semantic HTML, keyboard navigability, screen reader compatibility, and responsive design best practices — all baked right into the core structure of our site.
There's still much work to do to fully integrate and a few bugs to fix, but we're absolutely thrilled with the progress so far and it's already a massive improvement over what we had originally.
We're also working behind the scenes on fundraising and charity initiatives coming later this year, to help support disabled children with accessing education and life-improving integrated therapies in our local community. Watch this space and be sure to subscribe for more details.
