We’ve already written a piece on what exactly book wraps are, how you put them together and what you can use them for. Treat yourself – click here to read the full post and take your time to revel in the world of cardboard designed specifically for sending relatively flat, rectangular items (books, magazines, CDs, DVDs and the like) through the post!

But how to use book wraps even more effectively? That’s the question. Because if we use them more effectively, we save time and money, both of which are sometimes in short supply. And let’s face it, even when they’re not, it still pays to be as cost-efficient as possible.

Pack efficiently

With book wraps, you can’t really fail in your quest to fulfil orders effectively and efficiently, because they’re so very, very easy to use (see our instructions here). And it’s their simplicity which is their strength, even when there is the possibility to go for a variable height option. This means you can order one book wraps but adjust its size easily in order to use it to send items of assorted sizes – a large book, a medium sized DVD or a small phone case, for example – all just as securely and safely. A peel and seal strip makes closing (and opening) the mailers even more straightforward – no additional tape, no complex folding required.

Consolidate

Consolidation is to ecommerce businesses what location is to estate agents: very important. Consolidate and you save money at every stage of the fulfilment process, whether it’s packaging or postal.

Bespoke Book Wraps

Unless it’s a single-item order, aim to put multiple items in a single package if at all possible. And as mentioned above, one size of book wrap mailer will be appropriate for different products, but luckily, it’s also a bit of a cardboard Tardis; there’s far more space in one than you’d think thanks to the design of the retention flaps as well as their variable height. This means that you can send multiple items in them with ease. Packing more in no way compromises the integrity of the packaging.

Be sure to read our extensive article on how to consolidate packaging for ecommerce.

Buy stock in bulk

And you can buy in bulk because one size fits a lot (see above). Additionally, book wraps are easy to palletise and therefore, easy to store; you need never run out. Less space? You can also order as and when you need to, especially if you’re a fledgling ecommerce company. At The Packaging Club, we’ve worked hard at ensuring consistency of supply so you don’t have to worry about where to put your pallets.

There you have it: three major ways to make book wrap mailers work harder for your business. Don’t just take our word for it — see what our customers say about our packaging, from mailers to full fulfilment setups.

Custom Printed Book Wraps

Looking to go beyond stock sizes? Customise your book wraps with print, variable depths, or bespoke sizing made for your products.
